Berawal dari Door to Door
Madrasah Aliyah Al-Musthofa, adalah sekolah menengah umum berciri khas Islam yang berdiri pada tahun 1995. Butuh perjuangan dan kerja keras untuk dapat mendirikan Madrasah Aliyah ini. Perjuangan itu dimulai ketika dahulu di Yayasan Al-Musthofa terdapat dua golongan yakni golongan tua dan golongan muda. Golongan tua terdiri dari Alm. Bapak Achmad Munif, Alm. Bapak M. Sufa’i (ayahanda dari Pak Arif Billah dan Pak Basuni), Alm. Bapak Abdurrahman (mertua Bapak Solikin dan ayahanda dari Bu Sri) dan Bapak Akhsanuddin. Sedangkan dari golongan muda adalah Bapak H. Solikin M. Pd, Bapak Drs. Budiono, Bapak Taufiq dan kawan-kawan.
Ketika itu golongan muda ikut serta mendirikan MTs. Nurul Huda Lakardowo. Jadi, mereka tahu persis bagaimana kondisi murid-murid kelas III disana. Hampir dalam satu kelas hanya ada tiga orang saja yang mau melanjutkan sekolah sedangkan yang lainnya tidak melanjutkan sekolah. Oleh karena itulah, mereka sangat prihatin dengan keadaan tersebut. Dan timbullah inisiatif untuk mendirikan Madrasah Aliyah di Al-Musthofa.
Merekapun kemudian membicarakan usulan tersebut kepada golongan tua. Pada awalnya golongan tua tidak mengizinkan, karena para golongan tua tidak berani mendirikan Madrasah Aliyah di Al-Musthofa. Tetapi setelah diyakinkan terus menerus oleh golongan muda akhirnya para golongan tuapun mengizinkan dan dengan ucapan Bismillah mereka nekat mendirikan Madrasah Aliyah di Al-Musthofa.
Izin telah didapat, tapi mereka masih kebingungan untuk mencari tenaga pengajar. Khususnya dibidang eksak seperti matematika, fisika, kimia dan ekonomi (materi pokok). Tetapi Pak Solikin dan Pak Budi berfikiran untuk menghubungi teman sekolah serta teman-teman se alumni perguruan tinggi. Dan mengajak mereka untuk berjuang di Al-Musthofa, karena memang gajinya tidak sebanding dengan perjuangan yang dilakukan.
Tetapi meskipun begitu, tetap ada yang bersedia mengabdikan dirinya di Al-Musthofa. Sebut saja Bapak Sukariadi Harso,S.Pd. yang mengajar matematika dan kimia, Bapak Drs. Said yang mengajar bahasa Inggris dan Ibu Nursehan yang memang sudah mengajukan lamaran terlebih dahulu karena baru datang dari Kalimantan. Beliau mengajar mata pelajaran ekonomi. Sedangkan yang lainya berasal dari MTs. Al-Musthofa sendiri.
Memperoleh izin sudah, mendapatkan tenaga pengajar juga sudah tetapi mereka masih dilanda kebingungan untuk yang kesekian kalinya. Karena masih kebingungan mencari murid. Tapi agaknya mereka sudah punya pandangan, siapa yang akan direkrut untuk menjadi angkatan pertama MA. AL-Musthofa. Murid-murid MTs. Nurul Huda Lakardowolah yang menjadi target mereka, karena memang dari sanalah inisiatif mendirikan MA Al-Musthofa muncul.
Agar lebih cepat mendapatkan hasil, Pak Solikin, Pak Budi dan kawan-kawan memutuskan untuk mendatangi calon murid mereka dengan cara door to door. Jawaban calon murid merekapun bermacam-macam ada yang orang tuanya memberi izin tapi anaknya tidak mau atau sebaliknya anaknya mau tetapi orang tuanya tidak mengizinkan. Tapi akhirnya, setelah berjuang dari rumah kerumah Pak Solikin, Pak Budi dan kawan-kawan berhasil mendapatkan 27 orang murid, 25 dari MTs. Nurul Huda dan 2 dari MTs. Al-Musthofa yang sekaligus menjadi angkatan pertama MA. Al-Musthofa.
Dan setelah semua terpenuhi dari mulai izin, tenaga pengajar sampai memperoleh murid. Akhirnya MA. Al-Musthofa pun berdiri tahun1995. Semua ini berkat MTs. Nurul Huda Lakardowo yang sangat berjasa untuk MA. Al-Musthofa. Karena itulah, sangat naif sekali lulusan dari MTs. Nurul Huda tidak mau melanjutkan ke MA. Al-Musthofa. Sedangkan memang cikal bakal adanya MA. Al-Musthofa adalah dari MTs Nurul Huda.
Hingga sekarang lulusan dari MA Al-Musthofa sebanyak 930 orang, dan telah menjalani pergantian kepala sekolah sebanyak dua kali. Untuk kepala sekolah yang pertama adalah Bapak Abdurrahman tahun 1995 sampai tahun 2000. Sedangkan untuk kepala sekolah yang kedua adalah Bapak Muslimin M.Pd dari tahun 2000 hingga sekarang. Sedangkan dari awal di MA. Al-Musthofa hanya ada satu jurusan yakni jurusan IPS saja selama 5 tahun. Tetapi lama kelamaan karena tuntutan pasar serta adanya komplain dari murid-murid yang tidak bisa melamar pekerjaan di Ajinomoto dan lain sebagainya. Akhirnya diputuskan untuk menambah jurusan baru yakni jurusan IPA.
Dari awal berdiri hingga saat ini MA. Al-Musthofa tidak henti-hentinya memperbaiki diri. Ini terbukti dengan visi dan misi kedepan yang dimiliki MA. Al-Musthofa. Seperti yang disampaikan oleh Bapak Drs. Budiono selaku WK. Kurikulum MA. Al-Musthofa. “Visi misi kedepan yang dimiliki MA. Al-Musthofa adalah memberikan keterampilan kepada anak MA. Al-Musthofa agar bisa menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan paling tidak untuk dirinya sendiri. Seperti contohnya perbengkelan, menjahit, bidang pertanian dan peternakan serta yang lainnya.” Jelas Pak Budi.
Pak Budi juga memiliki pesan bagi siswa-siswi MA. Al-Musthofa agar mereka selalu tekun dan ulet untuk menggapai cita-cita. “Saya berpesan kepada siswa-siswi MA. Al-Musthofa, jika sudah lulus nanti apapun yang kalian lakukan, kalian harus ulet, tekun dan tidak mudah putus asa. Kegagalan itu biasa karena semua orang sukses itu pasti pernah mengalami yamg namanya kegagalan. Dan satu lagi, lakukan apapun yang kalian tekuni dan sukai berdasarkan cinta. Karena dengan cinta semua yang kalian lakukan akan terasa ringan dan lebih bermakna.” Tutur Pak Budi.(HF, LW)
